The American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) – Zambia held a Thanksgiving dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate some of its member organizations who have not only excelled in their area of expertise but have also had profound impacted in Zambia.
AGCO Zambia, a manufacturer and distributor of Massey Ferguson was recognized for its efforts to impact and engage farming communities in Zambia. Through its training centre, the Martin Richenhagen Future Farm based in Lusaka, AGCO Zambia has contributed to increased access to knowledge on mechanised agriculture and best agronomy practice in general.
Through various projects with its partners, AGCO Zambia continues to empower rural communities to build back better post COVID through capacity building programmes for women, youth and rural communities. Based on this achievements, AGCO was honored with the community engagement participant award, 2021.
“The criteria for selection as the community engagement participant of the year award was based on intention, set AMCHAM framework and community outreach efforts by the awardee. We weighed our membership against this criteria and found AGCO to be deserving of this award.” Says Daniel Chibutu, AMCHAM-Zambia
